A native of the Hudson Valley in New York, Anthony is a graduate from Pace University in Pleasantville, New York. After three decades of a diverse career, working for a Fortune 50 company, he retired in South Florida.

The research for The Third Cell and the complexities of the subject matter took several years before the novel was published.

The Third Cell was conceived from conversations I had with several Palestinians who had immigrated to the United States, who were a mix of Christian, Muslim, and even Agnostic individuals. They were all horrified by the events of 9/11 and the increasing influence of radical Islamic ideology. From their personal experiences and, of course, the daily events surrounding the Middle East gave birth to the novel’s plot.

In The Third Cell, I tried to project “a what-if scenario” and the inherent vulnerability of the United States. Two of the fictional circumstances that I envisioned and wrote in the novel became a fact. Let us hope that the other incidents do not become true. Maybe our government and industry officials will wake up to the weaknesses in the security of our infrastructure and take appropriate action. But I fear that greed and corporate profits are more important than human lives.

The basic concept behind The Third Cell is to tell a fictional story that is both horrifying and wholly believable.
